Job Description

As the Manager of Seller Finance you are part of the Payment & Fraud prevention team. The payment team includes three pillars: seller finance, payment, fraud prevention. You will lead the seller finance scope. Manomano gathers a qualitative and selective network of over 3500 sellers. You play a key role to offer them an optimized payment experience, while protecting Manomano’s assets. 

You are in charge of strategy, projects and operations on the following scope:Pay-out to over 3500 sellers, dealing with the complexity of an online marketplace collecting sales on behalf of sellers from diversified countries, in several currencies, and invoicing an increasing panel of services. This is an integrated end to end payment flow from buyers to sellers, enriched from additional servicesMinimizing seller risk while keeping seller friction at a minimum level. At this point this mainly covers credit risk, developing risk models to define dynamic payout rules. Recovery of seller debtSupporting the development of financial services to our sellers, by Manomano or via partnerships (Fx, working capital, financing, …)Supporting sellers on any finance / payout related topics (questions, claims, request of new features) and hence becoming the go-to person for our sellers finance directors and finance teams

Your missions:

  • You identify and manage projects improving Manomano’s seller finance solutions and processes. Manomano is strongly investing in your scope, both on the backbone of the payment solution and on the development of new features. To drive these changes, you can rely on a dedicated “feature team” including developers and a great product manager.
  • You are responsible for the continuous improvement of seller finance processes, aiming at better seller experience, operational efficiency & costs.
  • You are in charge of maintaining a quality relationship with our sellers on all financial topics.
  • You are the owner of seller finance KPIs and are responsible for seller finance operations (pay-out, seller risk, recovery of seller debt, seller support).
  • You are responsible of ensuring compliance to key regulations on your scope.
  • You will manage our seller finance specialist.
  • Profile Requirements:

  • You hold a Masters degree and have at least 5 years experience gained in either e-commerce, a payment provider or consulting (strategy, transaction services)
  • You ideally have a previous experience on a similar scope for an online marketplace
  • You have a strong financial background allowing you to meet the expectations from our sellers’ finance team
  • You are data driven, have strong analytical and quantitative skills and take your decisions based on relevant KPIs
  • You have experience managing a transverse scope, aligning multiple internal and external stakeholders (sellers, providers) and product teams
  • You are enthusiastic about bringing Manomano’s seller finance to the next level, driven by a culture of action and excellence
  • You are fluent in English and French. Other language much appreciated (German, Spanish, Italian, Mandarin)
