Product management organization at ManoMano

Product organization is divided into 4 Tribes: 

SELLERS: Provide the best experience to our sellers to grow their business (main KPI: seller revenues)

VISITORS: Help customer discover what they need (main KPI: Add to cart rate)

BUYERS: Offer the most seamless and reassuring buying (main KPI: NPS and Funnel Conversion Rate)

ACCELERATE: Transform the DIY marketplace to help construction entrepreneur to run their business (main KPI: B2B repurchase rate)

Technical Product Manager catalog publishing role at ManoMano

Do you want to impact the navigation and discovery of a catalogue of millions of products? ManoMano manages more than 7 million products and leverages big data and machine learning to help millions of customers find the products they need for their home improvement projects. 

We are seeking an experienced Technical Product Manager to own, define and develop the strategy of catalog publishing on ManoMano. This team is responsible for taking the products feed and their main attributes coming from the sellers (Product Information Management) and exposing them in the best possible way to different functional domains: acquisition feeds, merchandising and search, recommendation engines, product details, cart & checkout. It’s a central role to ensure we can leverage our big volume of data and guarantee the performance of the overall platform. It requires a blend of technical skills and user empathy, and especially a big capacity to work effectively with internal stakeholders. 

The job will report to the Group Product Manager, Engage.

Your main missions will consist of 

1- Product discovery

Master the problem space of your scope through a deep understanding of the usage of the catalog by different internal clients (i.e. the product managers of the visitor tribe), but also by understanding the overall end users needs on an ecommerce platform.

Work closely with the architects from the visitor and seller sides to understand the overall constraints of the platform in terms of product data flows.

2- Product strategy

Build and nurture the product vision and turn it into a strategy and a well-thought roadmap with your IT lead counterpart: you will make sure that we’re building the right features, with the right priorities, and with a good management of dependencies.

Make sure your team / stakeholders understand and embrace it through your engaging communication 

Participate to the long-term thinking of catalog management at ManoMano.

3- Product delivery

Ensure the correct delivery of your FT (pace of delivery, quality of delivery) relying on QAs, SMs and junior PMs. Develop ownership and empowerment of your team.

Be obsessed by the impact of the features you ship by setting up clear metrics and measuring them over time.

Communicate in a timely manner with your Group PM about important information, alerts, etc. 

Expected profile

You thrive in a startup environment growing (fast). 

You have already worked on Big data projects, involving databases with high volume of data.

You handle ambiguity, complexity and interdependencies in an organized, prioritized and structured way. You have excellent judgment and thoughtfulness about the dynamics of a product ecosystem. You are passionate about it. 

You have great communication skills and intuition for communication strategy at every level.

We often say about you that you’re an analytical and “customer centric” person. You believe that data should help drive your product strategy.

You are kind, thoughtful and have a natural ability to get things done. You qualify as an “achiever” and a leader.

You understand perfectly the role of a product manager and you embrace the product methodology and culture. 

Your English (and French) is perfect.

Bonus points:

You have already worked in an ecommerce company, started your own company or know at least the marketplace model

You love DIY and want to profoundly play a role in the reinvention of this market
